The room was good and the view from the Lodge was amazing, well worth the trip. We reserved too late to get a water view room which would have been great but we didn't spend much time in our room as we spent the day kayaking and hiking. Make sure to make your restaurant reservation the night before as it gets very busy.

Although I grew up living very near to the West Coast Wilderness Lodge, I had never actually been there until my fiancé and I started looking for wedding venues. We were living in Australia, planning to get married in BC and found the lodge online. We said, if it actually looks like it does online, in real life it will be the most beautiful and perfect place for us to get married. I visited the lodge in May 2016 and fell completely in love with the venue - it is truly perfect. Our dream was to get married at a lodge, in the forest, overlooking the ocean, and that is exactly what the West Coast Wilderness Lodge is. I cannot speak highly enough of our entire experience. Throughout the planning phase both George and Genevieve and the rest of the team were incredibly responsive to our needs and answered hundreds and hundreds of questions. They worked with us to ensure that our day was going to be exactly what we wanted. Although a bit of an effort for guests from afar to get to the lodge, it was entirely worth it. We had the BBQ on the beach on the Friday night which was incredible. It was a very relaxed evening, guests mingled over beer, burgers and smores and it gave my husband and I the chance to talk to everyone the night before the wedding - which hugely took the pressure off the wedding day of trying to have time with every person. The lodge is in a location that offers the perfect pre-wedding activities. The girls went for a forest walk and some beach yoga, while the guys went out on the jet skies up to the waterfalls. Having everything on site and not having to leave at all on the day of the wedding was amazing and took a huge stress off. On the day of, the lodge basically ran the show and everything went off without a hitch. They truly work to accommodate every need and to ensure they deliver exactly what is asked, they go above and beyond to make the day perfect. I honestly can't recommend the lodge enough - the most stunning perfect setting, in a calming natural environment, with experienced staff who go above and beyond to make it all perfect. If we did it again, the lodge would be our first choice. Photos by Jennifer Picard Photography.

I would like to advise tourists who would like to visit this place that it is not as advertised. My wife and I were there to celebrate our 27th anniversary, our forest view was a view of overgrown trees into our small deck with a room that had cracked windows tiles falling off shower, smoke alarm removed from ceiling and soiled and stained carpets in hallways. That was to be overlooked except we suffered food poisoning after eating dinner in there dinning room. We over heard the table next to us sending back glasses of water with things sitting in bottom of there glasses and lipstick and residue on there coffee cups being sent back. Food was average @ best prior to my wife becoming violently ill in bathroom after dinner. With no phones in room and no way to contact desk I went to office @ 10 @ nite and there was nobody around to get help to clean vomit on bathroom floor as my wife could not make it to toilet bowl in time so I spent the next hour wiping vomit up with towels and toilet paper and throwing them out onto deck. Next morning I went to front desk and explained what had happened the night before and I receive an " I am sorry" from the front desk, I asked to speak to manager and was told he was not around, I guess he did not care about what happened to us as it has been 2 days and have not had a response, appears he does not care about our situation. I said that I wanted our money back for dinner and was told it would be back on my card and they have not done that yet, once again lack of consideration or care. We will never go back as we live on the Coast and recommend that others should consider going to Back Eddy resort next door as we have found and heard this is a much superior dining facility and accommodations. We work hard for our money and were not treated like we were a valued customer so you should consider our experience and would not want this to happen to others. We did report this place to Vancouver Coastal Health who had been there b4 and are going up to do a health inspection of this facility.

We were lucky to stay in 2 different rooms. The forest view room is very comfortable and nice. The sea view room, the view is incredible, and very comfortable! All the staff are so polite and helpful offering suggestions about the local area. The tours are very good, the inlet your was great as was the bioluminece paddle was amazing. The only thing that would improve would be changing the menu more frequently, maybe daily specials?

Trip down to the pier at night is a must as is dinner outside on the deck as the sun goes down.
